Business Mitigation and Preparedness Survey

Texas's coastal communities are extremely susceptible to the impacts of hurricanes. The Hazard Reduction & Recovery Center at Texas A&M University has been conducting research on business resiliency and recovery since Hurricane Ike in September, 2008. We thank you for participating in this research regarding business hazard mitigation and disaster preparedness.

In this survey, we will ask you questions about the mitigation and preparedness activities conducted by your business. If your business existed before Hurricane Ike, we will ask you additional questions on mitigation and preparedness before Ike and changes you made thereafter.

Our research is expected to help the business community and federal, state, and local decision-makers to understand business disaster resiliency and recovery. Your responses will be kept confidential and no individual information will be released to any source. This survey will take about 5-10 minutes to complete. Your participation is completely voluntary.

Please input the most appropriate response to each question.
